Skyline Survive

The pendulum free PDA canopy (Pull Down Apex)–
fastest opening and minimum sink values!  The rescue-chute Skyline SURVIVE was developed for the use with Paragliders or Hang gliders. The first principle, constructing this chute, was to develop a rescue device with less deployment time, low sink rates and high loading capacity of the canopy. The special packing system guarantees a fast deployment.

DHV-license test: The Survive was dropped from a height of 60 meters at zero acceleration with a weight of 70 kg. After two thirds of the dropping distance already the rescue chute was fully deployed. In normal use the deployment will be even faster, because pilots in most cases throw the chute away from the body. The comparatively big area of the canopy (35,8 m²) reduces the sink rate. Because of the long lines the Survive is much more stable than normal rescue systems. This also reduces the pendulum effect and the speed of impact of the pilot is lower.

The construction of the inner container helps with the fast deployment. A pilot chute is attached to the container. This ensures that the rescue chute moves away from the pilot immediately – even if the container has not been thrown away powerfully. The container’s four-leaf-system guarantees a fast deployment and makes packing easy. For using the Survive up to 125 kg loading weight, it will be fit with SDS - Shock Damping System (deceleration is considerably softened).
