About the main power plants in our motors:

 

The Simonini

The Simonini is built as a stand-up powerhead with a four part prop guard. Two prop sizes are available  110 cm and 122 cm in diameter. This motor will close the gap between the Solo and the Hirth engine. Standard features are the power ignition and a high power resonator. This is not the stock Simonini engine. It has been retuned by Fresh Breeze. The tuned pipe and re-drive have lowered the power band of the engine allowing very quiet operation and increased longevity. The Simonini has high power to weight ratio. The certification from the DULV (German Ultralight Association) guarantees safety and quietness.

The crankshaft is finely balanced in Germany. This is a special fixture Fresh Breeze created and is not available in any other motoring unit.

The crankshaft bearings are replaced with German super duty ROLLER bearings with a much longer life than the stock bearings.

This is a special adjustment Fresh Breeze does and is not available in any other motoring unit.

The crankcase is reinforced with a stainless steel plate, because the stock crankcase can crack.

This is a special adjustment Fresh Breeze does and is not available in any other motoring unit.

The Fresh Breeze High Energy Ignition is installed.  This is not available on any other unit.

The Fresh Breeze pullstart is installed. Fresh Breeze motors are also available with an electric starter and a pullstart.

Most other units have only an electric start. With no pullstart, if the battery is dead you can't fly, and it does happen.

The famous BING Floatbowl Carburetor is fitted for instant starting.

Many other units have the less expensive Walbro carburetorthat needs constant adjustment.

The Fresh Breeze tuned pipe is installed. This pipe is designed on the Fresh Breeze engine dyno to smooth out and lower the powerband of the engine. A little power is sacrificed, but the rpms are reduced to 6,000, for very quiet power and long life. All other motor units use the stock simonini pipe that tends to crack after a while and the rpms are over 7,000! 7,000 rpm tend to be very noisy.

Most harnesses are attached to the motor, and are not removable.

All Fresh Breeze units are destructively tested and certified by DULV. They will not fall apart in high-G operations.

No other unit offered in the US is DULV certified.

Fresh Breeze units feature a soft J-bar suspension system. There is also a comfort bar suspension available for a lower hook in feel.

This feature is paramount! It is a quick release that allows an emergency motor jettison feature (in compliance with german ultralight safety requirements) for even more enhanced security in flight. If there ever was a time where your motor caught on fire, you can simply pull two pins, then slide the motor pack off your back and let it go. The chances are slim that this would ever happen, but Fresh Breeze is the only motors on the market that offer this degree of safety. It's like having a reserve parachute (which is a good idea as well!), you give yourself another option for survival in aviation.

This feature also gives you an excellent feel for your paraglider and the ability to weight shift your glider like no other unit out there. On climbout, you can simply cross your legs away from the turn induced by engine/propeller torque, and you are flying strainght! Especially valuble when Motoring to the Thermals, where you will really appreciate this unique system. 

The Solo 210

This German engine has been a standard since the beginning of powered paragliding. Its robust reliability has been proven many thousands of times during the last 10 years. The tuned exhaust and silencer makes this motor agile and quiet. The HEIS ignition, along with the easy start engine modification, makes starting the motor as easy as childs play. The standard Fresh Breeze extra-large head allows cooler running, increased HP, and longer time between overhauls. Two prop sizes are available  110 cm and 122 cm in diameter. The Hirth Aero F33 "Monster"

 

This Paramotor was specifically developed for Tandem flying. It is based on the Hirth Aero F33. To satisfy the high expectations flying tandem, the emphasis is on power and handling. For starters the engine can be cranked by the pilot both on the ground and in mid-air without a helper. The enormous thrust of over 175 lbs with a relatively small 48 inch propeller makes for short, safe take-offs. Once airborne the passenger can take the controls for a total feel of powered paragliding. Landings are easy due to the distance bar which adds extra space between Pilot and Passenger. The certification from the DULV (German Ultralight Association) guarantees safety and quietness. Due to state of the art equipment like a 4 blade propeller, tuned exhaust with silencer and intake silencer the Monster passed the german DULV certification. This unit is popular in the US due to the large number of "Big Boys" and power-hungry pilots.

 

The enormous thrust of over 175 lbs with a relatively small 48 inch propeller makes for short, safe take-offs.

The Fresh Breeze 100

 

This motor comes with a clutch standard and has very high revs approaching 10,000 rpm at the drive shaft. More revs = more power at less weight. All these motors come with the super light cage since this motor is all about weight reduction not robustness. A petite motor for the small pilot. The (Pending) certification from the DULV (German Ultralight Association) guarantees safety and quietness.

 

The great thrust to wieght ratio of 44lb/101lb of thrust with a relatively small 48 inch propeller makes for a light unit with lots of power.

This is excellent for "Ltl guys and gals" who can't hold a full size motor on there back.

The Black Devil

172cc - 25 hp, 150 to 165 lbs of static thrust,this motor is pull start and it is a extremely easy starter on the ground or in the air. Comes with intake silencer & exhaust silencer and tuned exhaust, the noise level is ok and it has a deep pleasant sounding tone. Vibration very low, A very dependable motor.
